Trip Overview

Tharpu Chuli, also known as Tent Peak, stands at an elevation of 5,663 meters (18,575 feet) and is situated south of the Annapurna Base Camp. The trek in the Annapurna region allows us to appreciate the lush greenery, diverse fauna, and rich culture of Nepal. The ultimate goal of this adventure is to reach the summit of Tent Peak, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Annapurna and Hiunchuli.

The 17-day journey begins and ends in Kathmandu, but the actual trek starts from Nayapool near Pokhara, known as the “Lake City.” Reaching the base camp of Mt. Machapuchhure adds another compelling reason to choose the Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli) Climbing expedition.

Tent Peak’s appeal lies in its visually pleasing landscape. The summit features a flat expanse of rock, ice, and snow. Compared to other trekking peaks, Tent Peak’s lower altitude and accessibility make it one of the most popular and relatively easier peaks to climb. Basic knowledge of ice axe techniques, rope handling, and glacier walking is sufficient to reach the summit.

Highlights

Summit Tharpu Chuli (Tent Peak), a 5,663-meter (18,575-foot) trekking peak south of Annapurna Base Camp, and experience the beauty and culture of the Annapurna region. This 17-day adventure includes trekking from Nayapul near Pokhara through lush landscapes to both Machapuchhre and Annapurna Base Camps, culminating in a climb to the summit of Tharpu Chuli. Enjoy panoramic Himalayan views, including Annapurna and Hiunchuli, from the summit's flat expanse of rock, ice, and snow. With its relatively lower altitude and accessible nature, Tharpu Chuli is a popular climb requiring basic ice axe techniques, rope handling, and glacier walking knowledge.
